At 50+ Fit Fab, the mission is to empower women 50+ to take charge of their fitness journey. Fitness is not just a goal, but a lifestyle that can be embraced at ANY age. I am living proof at 60! And I have helped women age 50 to 86 manage their fitness to achieve results beyond their imagination!

My journey began when I was diagnosed with prediabetes in 2016 at 52.
I was 45lbs overweight, taking seven medications, depressed, anxious, tired, and felt like a beached whale.
For over 30 years, I made the tour of equipment and exercise. I was getting on & off treadmills (literally), following the latest fads including aerobics, stairmasters, Zumba, organized national workout classes, videos and CDs that focused on (yawn) sit ups and stretching.
No exercise program was exciting for me. I hated treadmills and stair masters. Every exercise 'du jour' was so boring for me.
Prediabetes was my wake up call.
My doctor wanted to put me on medication. I couldn’t see myself on an 8th medication…for life! I researched alternatives for prediabetes and found that weight training helped ‘do something’ to reduce my A1c.
I found a trainer, and began working out. It was slow at first, but working with weights offered a variety of workout options, and an opportunity to challenge myself to do more, and do it better.
After 90 days of strength training, I was retested and my A1c dropped BELOW the pre-diabetic level!
I progressed to eliminating ALL BUT ONE medication (med for dry eyes.) I worked on my mental fitness. I found a passion in working out. I figured out how to manage my nutrition and establish - and maintain - great results.
I learned that this lifestyle is not a destination - it's a journey. I made it interesting, fun, and at 60, I am in the BEST shape of my life and my metabolic age is 53!
I was so amazed at what I thought was IMPOSSIBLE to achieve. Excited to share the fun and enthusiasm of being physically fit in my 50s, I became a Certified Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach in 2024, & a Certified Life Coach in 2021.
